seeking living room furniture!!!

We are moving into a house from an apartment in two months and I am looking for a used living room set or couches or loveseats sold separately. I am looking for neutral collors(beige, espresso, cream) and I really like the look of microfiber too. I can spend around $600, so if you have some furniture you are looking to get rid of, please let me know! Our house is going to look pretty bare until I can find something:) I checked craigslist and found a few, but I thought they were a bit overpriced, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask you mommies out there! Thank you!

Don't feel the pressure to furnish your house completely right away. It is not necessary. So what if there are a few bare areas....you'll find the right pieces.

I say this because you can easily fall into the trap of overspending. If you accept something you really don't care for because it is cheap or whatever, you'll be buying something all over when you are tired of it. Therefore the spending trap a lot of people fall into.

It is an adjustment to move into a home...more to take care of, yard, heating, ac, plumbing, electrical....Many things pop up and you need to be ready for them $$$$ wise.

We waited to find what we really liked and we buy pieces of furniture that we love and incorporate it into the home. My front formal area was empty for a LONG time but it was ok with me...I wasn't out to impress anyone. We now have the furniture we love and it is just right in there.

Just another thought....it also gives you time to save more money to buy something very nice. Delayed gratification is hard but worth it. Just my opinion, for what it's worth.

Best wishes in your home.

Also check out the Dump - we found some great stuff there. That said, I agree with the other poster. Don't worry about the house being empty. Get your stuff in the home and see where you really "live" in it. Those are the rooms to start with first. Take your time and enjoy making your house a home :)
