I enjoy Mamapedia and the variety of opinions and suggestions. Whatever your opinion may be, you should be respected and not subjected to others pushing personal views.
I’ve been a member of this site for many years… way back to Mamasource. I’ve made some dear friends here.
Whatever I type, I will also say to your face. Some call me blunt but I call myself honest and straightforward… Sometimes the truth hurts but we are not here to blow smoke up any britches! We are here on this forum to help and support each other.
I do not respond to hate mail. Depending on the severity of the email, it will either be reported or shared for all of the moms to see.
Successful business owner in the raw materials industry. I took over our company when my husband suddenly passed away in late 2015 of a heart attack at our home . We were married in 1988 and were approaching our 27th anniversary. He was my best friend and I miss him dearly.
I am also an active substitute teacher and volunteer in the schools for 17 years.
We have a 23 yr old daughter who has endured a lot of heartache in her 23 years. Shortly after my husband’s death, she experienced some heart issues which resulted in heart surgery in July 2016. She was diagnosed with SVT and had an ablation done. So far things are great and no other issues!
She is thriving as of this update (May 2018) and anxiously awaiting her new career after graduating (Summa cum Laude) last week. She signed a very attractive contract for this job on her birthday in Dec, 2017. We are both excited and I know my husband is beaming with pride.
I am so thankful although I am so lost without my husband but I know I am making him proud right now. I’m well aware that there are so many people in the world with bigger problems and issues than mine. I try to remember our motto which is to “Never Give Up” and always Keep Looking up to find the positive.
