hi mama's!! i am wanting to take my son on a weekend get-away this weekend since i have 3 days off. i was thinking branson and staying on the landing near the banson scenic railway (his obsession is trains). do you have any other ideas on where we could go besides branson? and if you do have other ideas for a quick, fun get-away...where would you stay? thanks for advice! :)
Hello Kaci. Have you looked into taking the train to St Louis? If your sond loves trains it might be fun to ride one to St Louis. I don't know costs or anything. Once you get there you could go to the Arch or the Science Musem (it is great for kids from what I remember). It has been about 10 years since I have been to STL so I can't help with where to stay once you are there. Sorry. Hope you and your son have a great weekend no matter what you do.
I know it is too late for THIS weekend, but next time you might google "stay-cation" or something like that. With more people now tightening their purse-strings, places are giving discounts and incentives in order to get more visitors.
