Hello everyone...I am scheduled to have a c-section in March at St. Lukes hospital. I had a csection with my first and now have to have one with my second. I was intersted in paying the extra money to stay in the pavilion suites they have able in the hospital. I spent 3 nights at the hospital when I had my DD, and it was such a long, miserable, cramped stay in their regular rooms. I had my in laws there all day as well as my parents and other visitors in the room, which I didn't mind. I am expecting the same thing and want to be as comfortable as possible, I want a nice big room. I wanted to know if anyone has ever stayed at one of the pavilion suites, and thought it was or was not worth the extra money for the room?
I cannot answer about the suites, b/c me and my husband are very frugal & would never pay that.
What intrigues me is that you imply that you want the room b/c of all the visitors. Really---they were there all day???!!!
You didn't ask, but I'm sorry, I will add 2 cents. Let them all come in for an hour and then go home! Let them go to your house and watch your 2 yr. old! Let them go to your house and cook meals and put them in the freezer, clean the kitchen....
Just my opinion, but keep the std. room and enjoy time bonding with your precious baby. Send the family away after an hour and tell them to come visit you longer when you are home. That's what I'd do.
I had my son at St. Luke's. I stayed one night in the regular room. It was AWFUL!!! Dh and I agree that we will spring for the pavilion suite next time. And I did not have a lot of visitors. Those rooms barely fit dh, the baby and me!
