Hi mamas!

I'm hoping you can all give me some wonderful ideas....
My dear friend has been going through the adoption process and met with the birth parents last Thursday and Friday. She found out on Friday that the birth parents were planning on going ahead with the adoption plan and that they would be potentially taking the baby home today. (YIPPEE!) They are a wonderful family and already have a 4 year old girl. The baby is a boy. I'm looking for some ideas on what I can do for their family that would be special. Any ideas?

I would think like with any family bring home a new baby, they would value the bonding time together, so offers that give them more time: chores, meals, cleaning, laundry. Things that would help them be able to relax together.

As a mom of 2 adopted kids, the best thing someone did for me was to throw a surprise baby shower. With having an older girl she will need boy stuff.

There are several websites that sell adoption-related gifts, books, and jewelry. You'll find a bunch if you do a google search on adoption gifts. As an adoptive parent, I really treasure the special adoption gifts that we received after we brought our daughter home.
