My Grandma just turned 90 yesterday. She's been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and in the last couple of months, she's really started a downward spiral. She is currently in an Independent Living situation and has someone to watch her all day long, but that can't continue very long. I'd like personal experience info on some of the area facilities in Bryan, College Station, Brenham. My Mom is having a hard time with the situation, too and I'm looking for Alzheimer's caregivers' support groups.
Hi, the Convenant Presbyterian located at 220 Rock Prairie Road in College Station has a support group that meets every 3rd Sunday of the month at 3:00 p.m.

I've never been, but we're trying to get my father-in-law to start going. My mother-in-law hasn't been diagnosed with Alzheimer's but she has the early/middle stage signs based on the reading my family has done.
Christ United Methodist off of Hwy 6 between Rock Prairie and Hwy 40 is also working on starting a support group, but they don't currently have one.
