I am looking for a bottom of the stair gate; I have two gates in my house (one pressure mounted evenflo and the safeway gate), but grandmas who watch my one year old have a lot of trouble opening them. I need a bottom of the stairs gate; we have steep stairs and he made it to the 4th one all of a sudden today really fast! I am afraid grandma won't use the gate if it is hard to open while holding him to go upstairs to bed. Also, the post doesn't go all the way to the ground - it sits on a slanted block except for about an inch on the side, so maybe a gate I can mount to the front of the post and then the other side to the wall across? Thanks!
My sister had a gate at the bottom of her stairs it was just great. It was a foot activated gate. It worked just great because it was easy to open with your foot and you just pulled it behind your self when you got through. I can't remember who makes it. But if you go to babies R us and ask them or check out what they have it should be easy to make it was there the last time i looked. I would check online but i have dial up and it takes forever to load the web pictures. Good luck
