My sister turned 47 on 1/13, my stepson turns 15 this Wednesday, my baby turns 1 on 2/19 and my neice turns 10 on 2/25. Everyone lives far away and rather than having 4 seperate parties with all the driving back and forth, I thought we could do sometime fun and combine it into 1 themed party. But I'm at a total loss of how to combine all those ages! My son turning 1 is obviously a huge milestone but I really want it to be fun for everyone so I'm not interested in doing an Elmo theme or anything of the sort. I thought a scavenger hunt may be fun or perhaps a bowling party, something themed Kings & Queens??? I don't know! Any ideas you have are greatly appreciated.
Since they are all winter bdays, how about a beach theme or luau party? At least it could feel like a little break from winter for a while. We did that for my daughters 4th bday and it was fun... we played tropical music and did the limbo. the kids had fun just throwing beach balls around. There's a lot you can do for all ages with a beach theme.
I think its a great idea...but the age range...sorry I don't have any ideas. Hmmmm. I think a one year old should have their own party. A first birthday, in my mind, shouldn't be combined. I also wonder why a 47 year old is included in this. But to each their own! I like your idea of a scavenger hunt, though, and the bowling party. Though the bowling party really wouldn't work for the one year old. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
I agree with Julie, a beach theme is the way to go for this one. You can tailor a part of the party for each person celebrating a birthday without much trouble. Fruity drinks, limbo contest, hula contest, treasure hunt, if you have a place for it (like the basement), use beach balls for a "beach" volleyball game, there are endless possibilities. Plus decorations are easy to come by. If you need some more help brainstorming just send me a message, I would be happy to help.
