Has anybody heard of or rigged up their own top of stairs baby gate for outdoor use? I have a deck off the back of my house with a stairway leading down into the yard. The deck is only about 6 feet up, but still high enough that I want a gate at the top of those stairs. The problem is that the stairway isn't framed on both sides by wood, it butts up against the house, so at the top of the stairs, one side is wood (for the handrail) and the other side is the brick exterior of the house. KWIM?
Anybody else have this kind of setup? I'm not sure I'd feel safe using a pressure-mounted baby gate in that spot.
