Need referalls to a QUALITY Ortho Knee surgeon

Hi ladies...I have been avoiding going to an orthopedic/sports medicine doc for my knees but its to the point where they hurt too much not to notice anymore. I would only like "personal" recommendations from you...not "my brother went to a good surgeon" type responses. And please include why you liked working with them so much.
I appreciate the feedback.

I took my mom to Todd Minor. I'm a physical therapist, but don't specilize in ortho, so I called a PT I know for a recommendation, and the thing that caught my attention, in addition to Dr. Minor being quite skilled was the description of him as humble. I've never, ever heard that word used in association with an orthopedic surgeon. He was a physician assistant before he was a physician and a surgeon, so he doesn't have a God complex.

I found him to be very skilled, very compassionate, spent an appropriate amount of time with her and me, has a good assistant. He was easy to ask questions of, and his entire staff was helpful and accessible.
He's with Colorado Joint Replacement Center.

Orthopedics associates have great doctors on staff, Dr. Gonzales is a fabulous knee guy!

I am an ortho nurse at Avista hospital in Louisville, CO. I can give you a recommendation based on the outcomes I see, every day. I always say that the best recommedations come from the nurses who care for the patients of specific doctors! :) The only ortho doc I would personally see, or send my family to is Dr. Thomas Eickmann. He is part of Cornerstone Orhopedics in Louisville on Health Park Dr. He is one of the only docs who does research himself, he is cutting edge, up on all the newest techniques and procedures, and has the greatest outcomes (the least amount of pain, complications, and his patients recover the fastest). If you would like more info, drop me a note! Good luck to you! :)
