Math Tutor

My son is an excellent reader, but I have 5 kids...so I could always use extra (low cost) help-any know of any tutors he needs help with math and money skills. He is currently in the 1st grade

Maybe try the high schools? John Glenn and Wayne Memorial are in your area.

Check your church. confirmation students need to have service hours... You may find someone there.

Hi Renee,

When my girls were in Elementary school, I put together a math flash card program to help the kids learn their facts. When we were short parent volunteers, we were given high school students who were looking to help out students in other schools to fulfill their requirements for their classes. Contact your childs school and ask them if they have access to students and there usually is no cost involved. Good Luck,
Dawn

Check with your schools or your local schools if you are homeschooling. Often the teachers can be hired inexpensively to tutor before and after school and the high school students often will for a fee tutor. Often teachers have a schedule to help their students if they are having difficulty as well.

Hello, my husband is a teacher, he has taught children of all ages for over 13 yrs. He tutors as well, depending on where ya live, we would like to help your son. We live in Plymouth.

I provide tutoring at the Belleville or Canton Library for $20 an hour. I am currently a pre-school teacher, but I have degrees in both elementary ed. and special ed. I also do homebound services for Van Buren. All of which are part time, so I do have some schedule flexibility.

Aside from getting a tutor, we also have our kids learn from Beestar with all the different worksheets. It’s really helpful for them to have additional help outside of tutoring to help them be more independent!
