Does anyone know of any place in the Tujunga Sunland Burbank that does mommy and me swim lessons? I know about the YMCA, but I was wondering if there was something cheaper! Even private lessons at someone's house would work! My daughter is 20 months almost 21. Thanks in advance for any help!!
Try Aqua Buddies Kristin owner 818-599-5952. Kristin's an excellent swim teacher ans so are her colleges. she teaches from infant to adults and Mommy and me in your own pool or public pools. Kira was 4 last summer and she can swim in the deep end, dive in the deep end and swim along the bottom of an 8 foot pool! Kristin gives the kids the confidence and safetly tools to totally swim!
All the best,

We went to California Aquatics last year in their Granada Hills location. It's kind of no frills, but they do a good job! We did mommy and me there and hope to do it again this summer.
Burbank Parks and Recreation offer Parents and baby swimming classes, I believe sigh ups are right now, or very soon.
Burbank Parks & Rec does Parent & Child swim lessons. For non-Burbnak residents you can start sign-ups on May 4th. (http://www.ci.burbank.ca.us/park/Sports/aquatics_registration.htm) If you are a Burbank resident, you can do on-line registration NOW.
I've taken my children for several years, its quite affordable and definitely worth it.
LUCILE COWLES SWIM SCHOOL
BAD BAD BAD instructor JESSIE at LUCILE COWLES SWIM SCHOOL.
The Lucile Cowles swim school knows nothing about teaching babies how to swim!
One teacher named Jessie dunked my child under the water while she was crying TWICE. What a horrible instructor Jessie is; be forewarned if you have a baby, don't let THIS MONSTER NEAR yours. I ran to get my baby away from the awful girl and all Jessie had to say was "I'm the best instructor here" and scoffed away. She never apologized to me. A previous lesson with Jessie was when she pinned my little girl onto the side of the pool for 7 minutes to make her sit there. She just pushed on her and pushed on her until I said stop Jessie you are going to create a block, this is supposed to be fun. Well I have a news flash for you Jessie…GOOD TEACHERS DONT ABUSE THEIR STUDENTS!!!!!
Each time Jessie came to pick up my daughter for her lesson she didn't even greet me with a smile or a hello. She walked around the pool like she was in a permanent bad mood. Well she's not going to take it out on my daughter. What a nasty, mean, horrible girl that Jessie is. She should never be around babies. My daughter rarely cried until she met Jessie from Lucile Cowle's Swim School. What a despicable person she is.
The other mothers in my group thought Lucile Cowles Swim School doesn't know how to teach babies; they do not have an understanding of kids under 3.
The owners didnt care about what Jessie did saying they dunking babies is a common thing they were very unapologetic and they are very unfriendly toward the people that spend 170 dollars for 3.5 weeks at this lousy swim school. They barely look up at you to say hello. I will never go back
