Next summer will be my parent's 50th wedding anniversary and they want us to plan a trip together. I have no idea where to go, what to do, ect..I thought if my mom and I went to a travel agent, we could get some info. Have any of you used a travel agent in the Mid-Cities/NRH area you would recommend? Also, any ideas of what to do? I don't think I am going to be able to get my husband or brother on a cruise. I had thought of that but it doesn't look like they will go for it. We will be bringing our kids who will be 20 and 17 so I want it to appeal to them as well. Any ideas are appreciated.
Thank you,
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
I know of a travel agent that operates an online travel agency in the DFW area:
Please check out June Kim at www.junestraveldepot.com
I own an assistance company called Errands A.S.A.P. and network with her most every week. I'm sure she'll try hard to help!
Take care,

I don't use a travel agent anymore. It's too easy to get info online and buy your tix.
We are going to Gatlinburg this week. Plenty to do for everyone even if it's just hanging out. The kids are looking forward to Dollywood and fishing. My DH and I can't wait to hit the golf course. There is a great resort there. Everyone can stay in one cabin (up to 26 adults) Plus the Smoky Mountain views from the cabin are absolutely AWESOME! Have a friend who is getting married there in August. Oh and each cabin has it's own pool table and hot tub.

I will tell you though the best thing is just have general idea of something that you would like. It's a shame you can't get them on a cruise because that would truly be the best place for everyone to have a good time. Without knowing family personalities it's hard to say what would work for everyone. I HATE the beach so we rarely go there for vacation, but I LOVE to go to go hiking and fishing.
The other option is online. If you visit expedia.com they have vacation packages and you can get a rough idea of places to visit. They sort them out by experiences. So get online and see what's out there. :o)
