I'm wondering if there are other moms in the area (we live in Wheeling) who would like to get together for playdates perhaps once or twice a week. We just moved to the area and would love to make new friends for both myself and my daughter (23 months old). If you're interested, I'll be happy to hear from you:)
PS: I checked meetup.com but it seems there're no groups for moms in Wheeling.

You might want to check out Nibbles Cafe on Dundee in Wheeling. I was advised to check out this place as a venue to share what it is I do. It may serve as a nice place for you to bring your child and interact/meet others.

I know you said you checked meetup, and our meetup is not in Wheeling, but we do have members in the area and meetups in different locations around the northern suburbs. FYI the name of the meetup means nothing! as long as they are within a ten mile radius you can join and find activities around the whole area. I would join a few and find one or two that fit you best! good luck
Elisa, Welcome to the area! i am an organizer of a group on meetup - Deerfield Area Playgroup. We have a few members who live in Wheeling - Actually, our members are from all over the place! But Deerfield is pretty close to you. So, check us out! We have been having at least one playdate a week. We meet at members' homes and at places like Nibbles, which is near you!
