Is there any special needs pediatricians?

Hello,

My son was diagnosed with PDD-NOS over a year ago and we have been going to a regular cook children's pediatrician...but she does not really agree with the diagnosis. My son is obviously delayed in development and I was wanting to maybe switch pediatricians to someone who is more experienced with autism...as my younger daughter is also showing signs of delay and is in ECI right now. Anyone know of one that would take insurance as well?

I don't know of any "special needs" pediatricians, but my son has Down syndrome and we see Dr. Fank McGehee at Cook's in Fort Worth. He sees a lot of special needs kids, including autism. We are on Cigna and he takes that. Hope this helps!
