I'm calling on "Suzy Homemaker" here---Has anyone figured out a way.......?

tthat is a way to keep blankets and a bedspread, including a heavy one, from falling off the end of a bed during the night?I I seem to be an active sleeper who winds up kicking the coverings off the bed. Nonetheless, it's annoying to have to pick it up off the floor and even re-make the bed, it's such a mess. If you have a bed without a footboard I want to hear from you all the more. I tried putting a velcro strap around them and the mattress underneath, but it worked for only so long. I've tried putting a long, narrow-ish box between the end and what there is of a footboard, but it looked ugly and didn't work very well. I don't want to get into a complicated sewing project involving sewing anything to the mattress or mattress pad, either.

I feel like I am asking for a miracle, but I wondered if anybody has come up with anything that works for them.

Not a parenting question.
Try getting a foot board - one that’s tall enough, or has a cross bar that will act like a quilt rack that you can drape the bedspread over.
I wouldn’t sew anything to the mattress - you’ll be able to wash it if you do that.
