my husband and i are wanting to go to orlando for our anniversary and i'm not sure if our kids are coming or not,can anyone let me know of any kid frendley hotels, like a hotel that has a room away from ours and thats not too expensive?
We always stay at the Marriot Grande Vista. It is wonderful. They have a great pool area but best of all they have a really neat indoor playground with slides and lots of fun activities. There is also a full size game room too.
We stayed at a wonderful resort http://www.islandone.com/ior/likitikivillage.html. For a 2 bedroom apartment (!) it was only about $100, for full kitchen, living room, dining room, etc. We wer very happy, we even played mini golf! All onsite! Free pastries in teh morning too. "On-site, you can kick back and relax at Liki Tiki Lagoon Water Adventure, perfect your tennis serve, participate in organized activities, get the bad guys in our video game room, paddle boat around the resort's lagoon - and that's just the start of our amenities. My suggestion is to call 407-W-DISNEY and talk to someone. They are such a great help! They can find you breaks on rooms, suites, dining options, etc. I've been calling that number whenever I need a hotel/dining for almost 10 years.
There are other non-Disney hotels up and down International Dr. Some do have suites (a bedroom with a living that has a pull out sofa bed). Good luck and have fun!
Hi there , I know we have a similar problem when we go to Orlando, we love going but we would also like to have privacy I don't know what attraction your going to see so I can't recommed a Hotel. But from past visits to Disney I know that alot of hotel offer 1 or 2 bedroom suites and if you stay in a cheaper hotel the suite should be priced right. There is also this babysitting service that services the Orlando htoels called Kid's Night Out(www.kidsnightout.com or 407-828-0920)
It is 24/7 In-room sitting service. Which is great if your with your kids but need alone time w/ your husband. Hope this helps.
Gina,
There is a Holiday Inn Nickelodeon Kids Suites just outside of the Disney parks that is pretty cool. There are seperate bedrooms and each suite is themed with Nick characters. There are either bunk beds or two singles in the kids room. There is also a kitchenette and a breakfast buffet used to be included. I haven't been there in a couple of years though. Also, the pool area was cool, big slides, etc.
Ramada Maingate off of 92 is great, they have an indoor pool, resturant, and Karaoke. There are also family rooms with bunk beds. we loved it there and at this time of year it is priced great.
Hello Gina,
You can try the All-Star hotel located in Orlando. They are very kid-friendly. They have adjoining rooms - one for you and your husband and another for your kiddies. There's a convinient door that connects your room to their room in case you'd like to check up on them in the middle of the night, etc. They're very reasonable with respect to price and they have shuttle buses going to and from the theme parks in addition to having on-site entertainment such as an arcade. I tried it and it's wonderful. I hope this helps. Good luck, congratulations and have fun!
Disneys wilderness lodge was so great! We got a room with bunk beds for the older kids. There is a great pool and lots of fun stuff everywere around. I think they had as much fun at the hotel as the parks.. It was nice, worth the cost.
Disney's All Star Music Family Suite. It's a Disney resort with great pools and a fun food court/game room. The room has a separate sleeping area for parents and there's also a kitchenette. Beware that this time if year is "peak season" which means peak pricing, however ask Disney for the FL resident rates and you'll usually save 10-15% if they haven't sold out.
Look into the Starwood properties. The Westin hotels are very save and have kids camp program where you can leave them there and they have many activities for them. You can call and ask if they have a family package (which they always do.) Normally they will give you connection rooms which is great and convenient!
Hope this helps!
Have fun!
This suggestion is all up to you of course. I own a time-share on Disney property(not Disney owned) and I know they have awesome incentives for you to listen to their speal. I think you could stay in a 2 br time-share with kitchen for $89 for 2 nights-3 days, and sometimes they throw in free attraction or dinner tickets! Let me know if you would like the info, and I can set you up on a VIP referral so you can get all the great stuff!-if you don't want to do this-stay away from International drive-stay by the convention center-less crime
Gina,
I just found this place on the internet, it looks really cool, we are going to Sea World next weekend and will definately be staying here!
We love Mariott Horizions. They have a wonderful waterpark with a big pirate ship for the kids to play in, 2 bedroom hotel room with kitchen.
Not sure if you still need this info but here is a website for the Nickalodeon hotel www.nickhotel.com . My friends have been there and think it's great.
