Horses??

I'm trying to find a place where I can volunteer with just horses. I've already done Rocky Top in Keller and loved it, but I really want to just focus on horses.

Thanks,
Emily

To volunteer in the horse world can be tricky esp if it is not with a theraputic center. I have ridden all my life and the best way to get your foot in the door is to start taking riding lessons somewhere. If you are eager to learn or they desperately need help they will ask but also ask them if you can barter with them for more experience. what has always happened with me; is I put it out there to the trainers and hung out in the barn quite a bit. sometimes went the extra mile doing a thing or two. I really got my foot in the door when trainers could see that i knew what i was doing and could ride and then i was offered to ride other peoples horses that they did not have time to exercise/ride. Good luck!

My neighbor teaches riding lessons and has a girls Horse Camp in Colleyville during the summer...she might be interested in having a volunteer...not sure...her name is Debbie and her number is 817-917-1338.

Have you heard of Ride With Pride on Highland Rd. in Southlake. They give lessons and have parties...no therapy. Just a thought.
