I am trying to find out if there are any foreign language classes available for toddlers in the Fresno/Clovis area. I've tried contacting Lango but have not received any responses. I am interested in Spanish,Mandarin or Japanese.
What we did was hire a nanny who didn't speak English, so her only method of communication with our kids was to speak Spanish. Even if it's just a few hours a couple of times a week, it should work fine to teach the second language, but obviously the more time she spends with your child, the better.
We sent our kids to the Armenian school (on Villa near Herndon) for a while (they have a preschool, although the Pre-K is better than the Nursery class), and that was fun because they do a full immersion program in the younger classes. So my girls can speak and WRITE in Armenian - not a very useful language, but I figure as long as they're using the language-learning part of their brains, that's good, right?
