Catholic Churches

I want to baptize my child before he turns 1 year old, I've been looking for Catholic Churches but, it's just a to hard for me to find godparents that attends masses in regular basis...I dont know what to do =( I dont have too many friends or family to chose from. Does anyone know about Catholic Churches around here that does not required godparents to be attending to masses regularly?

I had my daughter baptized in January, she was 8 months old. I recently moved to the area and found Holy Rosary Church, they are wonderful. My husband is Jewish, which wasn't a problem and I was only required to have one godparent which was my sister. Both her and had to join the church and the following week my daughter was able to be baptized. I was expecting some problems because I only wanted one godparent and the Deacon at the church said you are only required to have one but they do like you to have two if it is possible.

Speak with a Priest at a nearby parish. They will not refuse to baptize a baby no matter what. There are a few baptism sessions that you and your husband should attend, even though he is Jewish. It is also not a requirement for a Godparent to attend church regularly but it is a requirement to promise that the child will be brought up in the Catholic Faith should something happen to the parents. The important thing is that you chose Godparents you would trust with the life and upbringing of your child. My grandchild was baptized in the Catholic Church, his mother is not Catholic, my son is. My other son is the Godfather but the Godmother is not Catholic, she is Protestant.
My grandson was baptized at Christ the King on Belmont Blvd.
Many blessings to you and yours
