These are all very strong names
When I had my youngest dd almost 6 years ago, DH and I had a hard time picking out names. Neither of us wanted a popular name but we didn't want one that people would make comments about either.
I went to the SSA Popular Baby Name site (http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/) and printed out the top 1000 baby girl names for the previous year. I then went through and grouped the names that were the same but different spellings. I gave a copy to DH and we both went through and marked the names we really liked. The first time through, there was nothing that we had marked the same. I reprinted the list and then we went through them again and picked names that we liked and those that we would consider. Upon checking through DH's list, I saw he had the named Taryn marked. I must have skimmed over that name every time because it had never jumped out at me before he marked it on his. We ended up naming our dd Taryn Elizabeth. I had never heard the name Taryn before. I am seeing the name more and more but it isn't an overly popular name (I did meet another Taryn Elizabeth and a lady who has a niece named Taryn Elizabeth).
I didn't keep a copy of our lists that we marked and wish I would have. I have the baby name book that my DH marked up when I was pregnant with my oldest (I didn't mark any names because I only wanted one name and that was what we used) so my oldest DD can see what names she might have had. I have nothing to show my youngest.
Almost a year after I had Taryn, my nephew and his wife had a boy who they named Torin Jacob. It took me a while to get used to that name but I like it and haven't met any other Torins.
This past summer my nephew's kids were visiting (nephew is now divorced and his kids live in Puerto Rico). For some reason, my brother (nephew's father) kept mixing up Taryn and Torin's names and calling them by the wrong name. :)
My son's name is Patrick Stanley. Patrick is my husbands middle name and Stanley is my husband grandfather who raised him since his mother died when has 11. I am a firm believer in naming your children after family members. Every girl in my family on my mom's side back to my great great grandmother has the middle name Kay. Me, my mom, my 4 aunts and my two grandmothers.

Maybe look at your family tree and see if you like any of your ancestor's names.
Or, I know a couple who honeymooned in Hawaii and just fell in love with that place and decided to give their boy a Hawaiian name. Is there any place you have really fond memories of? Maybe choosing a name that originated in that language?
Looks like you're getting some great suggestions here on Mamasourse! Good luck!
I just had a baby girl in October but when my husband and I were discussing names he always liked the common ones for boys and I always liked the different ones. Here are a few suggestions:
Cole
Keagan
Brogan
Brailey
Also my cousin just named her baby Pacen. I have never heard that before!! Good Luck!
After having 3 girls I still love the names Landon, and Anderson. Not together.
We have never been able to decide on a boy name either. We want something a bit unusual, but not weird, too. Luckily, we have two girls (so far). What style of name does your four-year old have?
Lately I like Tate, Wade, Donovan, Leo, Archer, Rand, Craig, Benton, Jay, Tobias, Jonah, and Ty. Maybe one of these will ispire you! Good luck!

We had a hard time deciding on a boy name for our son born last year. We named him Liam Patrick (Patrick after daddy). The others we liked were Landon, Shane, & Aiden (although Aiden ended up being #1 in popularity last year).
I like the name Joel. It's easy to spell, easy to remember, people know right away it's a boy (I have a hard time with names that girls and boys have these days: Logan, Taylor, etc.), and there's probably not going to be another one in his class.
And it goes well with a lot of middle names, ones you might bring in from another family member.
My son Joel is now an adult, and his name has served him very well. And contrary to what people said when he was born, NO ONE has ever called him Joe or Joey! -- Well, one exception was the summer he worked in the Parks Department - one of the guys called him Joe. But other that than, he's always been Joel.
Good luck!
I have a couple of friends who chose unique names:
Talon
Cade
Nolan
Brody - short for Broderick
Bentley
Kenyon
Brady
My faves are Malachi and Jonah.
Good luck!!!
Good Luck choosing! It is so fun!

Our grandsons all have unual names. The oldest is Damien Michael Sebastin (don't know why she did the 3 names) the second is Draven Michael Daniel and the younset is Brayden Tyler (different Mamma). We named our 2 Gregory Allen (youngest) and Michael Vincent (Middle name for my Dad) we also considered Jeremy Allen and Jeffery Alen for the youngest. Michael was always Michael (for our best man) Vincent for my dad (his middle name is Vince.0 My sister's three are Louis Dean Horn the third ( he hates his name because his father has some mental issues and Mom and he were divorced years ago. The second is Andrew Vince another named after Daddy. And finally Dustin Mark (we call him Dusty.
A few of my fave, sort of "different" names are
Cody
Gavin
Brayden
Good luck!
We always had a girl's name decided upon, but it was a little harder to come up with a boy's name. We were like you and didn't want anything too unusual, but wanted something that you don't hear very often right now. Our son ended up being named Vincent Thomas. "Vincent" just came to us after we started talking about various "V" names (Victor, Victoria for a girl, etc.). We had a friend named "Vince" in college, so I think that helped the decision. "Thomas" is after my husband's father. We really didn't have any other boy's names we agreed upon, and we're thinking about getting pregnant this year, so we may be in your boat again, soon! I'll read the other replies to get ideas. ;)
My Friend just had a baby and named him Carter...I thought it was so cute!
How about Caleb?
when pregnant with my 2nd son this time last year, my husband really got attached to "Jett"
we already had a boys name picked long before that, so Jett wasn't really in the running... but i think its pretty unique without being too odd. didn't realize until this past week that was the name of the Travolta's son...
We could only agree on one, Hoyt.
My husband happened to work with someone by this name and we liked it. He and his son are the only two we know with this name besides our son. There was also Hoyt Wilhelm, a hall-of-fame baseball pitcher. I wanted a one-syllable name.
Have fun deciding!
