Background Check?

I'm in the middle of interviewing potential sitters/nannies for my newborn and want to get a background check on the candidates but how do I go about doing that?

You can do it on the internet, or your police station should have forms you fill out and send in to the state. That's the way I did it for my business a few years ago when hiring a manager. I think the cost is $10 or $20. I would suggest calling your local non-emergency police number and asking them if they have the forms. Our police department supplied me with them.

intellus.com works or you if you are hiring from sittercity.com you can run a background check thru them.

I wanted a much more in-depth background check so I googled private investigation firms, discussed with a couple what I wanted and compared prices, etc. The agencies are not cheap, but they do offer thorough investigations.

Hi Melissa,
When getting a background check are the candidates willing to give you their SSN to obtain this info?Is anyone worried about identity theft?

HOW TO DO YOUR OWN BACKGROUND CHECK!

I recently had a similar problem finding info on someone that was a friend of the family. I searched every corner of the internet and could not find the information that I was looking for

I finally found the information that I was looking for at this website http://www.mgrmanagement.info

I was totally shocked that they had so much info on this person. The website had all public info info including addresses, phone numbers, and criminal records.

There was also a listing for marriage certificates, bankruptcy, death records and a bunch of other stuff. I ran my name and could not believe the info that was out there about me. Kind of scary!

Anyway, if you want the info you're looking for, you should check out the website and I guarantee you that you will find what you are looking for.

Good Luck!
