My husband and I are in the process of buying a home that has an inground pool. We would like to put a baby fence around it. But since we are new to this we don't know where to start. Does anyone have a recommendation of a company to use? Also can you give me an approximate cost of putting one in?!
Hi, my name is Cheri Chambers and I teach infant swimming in the Orlando area. I also have a 16 mo old grandson living here in my home. I have a pool gate around my pool and love it. When I get done in the pool, I lock it from the baby. Since he has always lived here, he started swimming very early and loves the pool. The company that I use for the pool gates is Roll-away Protective Pool Fence (407-351-3888). The owner is Paul Roth, he writes a pool article for the Orlando Sentinel and is very knowlegeable. Tell him I recommended him. Be careful in choosing your company, my son bought a fence from someone because it had a gate that they could open easily, but the gate had a cross bar on it supporting the gate, and my granddaughters climbed over it using that cross bar, fortunately they were good swimmers and it wasn't an issue, but for non-swimmers!!!! Im in Orlando if you have any quetions or interest in lessons. And if not, can direct you to an instructor anywhere in Fla from my association. My website is tlcwatersafety.com. Good luck.
