Hi - we are strongly considering taking our three boys ages 4, 8 and 10 to Legoland this summer. Anyone ever been there and have any tips or advice? Is it worth it to stay on site at their hotel? etc..... Thanks so much!
I've been there, and was a bit disappointed. I have not seen their hotel, so I can't say much about that, but would probably not opt for it, since the park is small, and easy to get to by car.
When I visited Legoland, I was living in So. Cal (about 3 years ago). All the rides and activities seem to be for kids the ages of yours (my family wasn't the right age). We viewed the whole park within about 90 minutes. If you're going to do all the rides and activities, you can probably make a day out of it, but not more.
Be sure to plan to see other area attractions, since Legoland is not enough to fill your trip. It's not too far to Sea World or the San Diego Zoo, or only a few hours to Disneyland or Universal Studios.
