Seeking advice on play gear / activities for my 4 month old baby girl

Hello Mamas! My daughter is getting more active now and is looking for more entertainment. She is constantly looking for me to pick her up...Does anyone have any suggestions for play gear / toys / activities that I could buy to keep her entertained. I was thinking about getting the bumbo chair and the gymini...What about stationary walkers? Thanks!

i have a 4 and a half month old and I have the gymini play mat and it was a great purchase. She does tummy time every day as well as plays on her back happily!!
I'd like to hear from other moms about other play gear!!
Anyone use BABY EINSTEIN dvds?

A gymini would be great and also an exersaucer but wait about a month more or use a pillow behind her back in it. I used to work for years in a store that sold baby gear and we sold tons of those two products but would advise people to use the exersaucer at about 5 months, the levels on it rise as the baby gets taller and it can be totally stationary or rock. My daughter used it for my grandchildren in her yard also with water in the botton to splash in the hot weather and sometimes in the yard as a highchair, lol.

The bumbo chair is good but it isn't all that exciting. My daughter has been in the Exersaucer since she was about 4 months, she loves it! She spends 1-2 hours a day playing in it. She also likes the jumper from the doorway, but that was aout 6 months when she started to get it. I also have this Bear I got from Toys R us, the baby lays under it and can kick the ball and the bear lights up and music plays. She LOVES it still, (7 1/2 mths now). I do play the Baby Mozart for her, but she prefers to watch Noggin on Cable, she loves Moose and Zee.
Hope this helped

I found the Gymini and the Exersaucer to be really necessary and they last a while. You can start Exersaucer as soon as they can support their head and touch the saucer with their toes (I put blankets around him at first for more support). I also got a foam playmat so he doesn't bump his head all the time.

Hi Amy,
The gymini is great. We have the Tiny Love light and music one and the toys are great. You can detach them and put them in the stroller or on other toys. The mat is also a little thicker so when my sons rolls around on it its a little gentler on his head. We have the bumbo but he's not crazy about it. The best toy/gear item we have is the Fisher Price Rainforest Bouncer seat. He's in it everyday off and on since he was 3 months and still loves it. I don't turn on the lights or music much because its a little much, but I'll hook other toys on etc. Its the best entertainment we've found for him. Good luck!

I have a 4 month old girl as well, and have had similar challenges keeping her entertained. She doesn't love the gymini because she prefers to be upright rather than lying on her back. Haven't tried the exersaucer yet but after reading these responses I will. What has worked best has been giving her stuffed toys that light up, crinkle and/or play music (e.g. the Twinkle Turtle) and that she can put in her mouth. She'll grunt at them for an hour at a time.

I hear you - my girl is almost 13 weeks! I have the activity mat from Tiny Love, and the one from Baby Einstein is really good too. I also have a Fisher-Price Aquarium Wonders bouncer seat which we love. Once she has better head control, I'm thinking about getting the activity center from Evenflo.
