I am due with our second girl any time and we cannot decide on names! Our last name is hyphenated (2 syllables each ending in "n" but easy to say) so we don't want anything too difficult to pronounce or too long. We are pretty set on a one syllable middle name but are trying to avoid AJ and TJ type nicknames.
These are our favorites - do you know anyone who has these names and loves (or hates) it? Any terrible nicknames we aren't thinking of? Is Kennedy too trendy? Does Allie sound like too much of a nickname?
Kennedy Grace
Kendall Jane
Keely Mae (or Jane)
Allie Grace
Teagan (Tee-gan) Grace
If you hate them all, please don't respond. We get enough of that from family!
Thank you!
You have a long last name, so you're right to make the other names short and simple. Allie is usually a nickname for Alice or Alexandra (so you can decide if you want to name her one of those and use Allie as her nickname). Allie Grace sounds good spoken out loud ("Allie Grace, do I have to come up there?"), and it could look good - not childish - on her graduate school diploma.
oh my gosh, I love them all!!!!!! I really like Kennedy, i went to elemantary school with a Kenrda. you seem to like "K" names....one name we picked out it we had a girl, we didnt we have 3 boys, was Kempley. I love these girl names also:
Ave Marie
Brooklyn Rae
Chloe
Kaitlyn(katie for short)
Arianna
Isabelle or Isabella Shyanne
oh this is such a fun question!!! let us know which name ya'll decide on please!!!!
:o)
One of my hubby's Colonel's named his little girl Kennedy Grace, she is now probably 5 or 6.
I like Teagan, Kendall and Kennedy. What about Keagan?
Yes Allie sounds too nickname-ish, same with Keely. Think of her college/job applications. Also think of her job title, Dr. Teagan Grace Jones, has nice ring to it.
I would at this point keep these names in mind then wait until she is out to officially decide - she may not be a Kennedy, Kendall, keely, Allie, Tegan but be a Grace or Jane! I would wait at this point.
I haven't ready any other responses but I love the name kennedy grace. I almost named my daughter that 3 years ago when she was born. Allie is very pretty too. Good luck and congrats
i like kennedy or teagan. keely will get mistaken for kaley. allie is cute, but is it someting that she can grow into? there was a girl named kennedy at the daycare i used to work at YEARS ago. i liked it then, and still do.
Just a suggestion. We have a friend who has a daughter named Keely. They regret it. People try to give her nicknames, and people call her Key and Keel. Her daughter and them hate it, and they are always correcting people. People will ALWAYS try to shorten names.
I've always thought the name Allie was super cute. It is a nickname, but it can also be a REAL name. That is my favorite out of them all. Allie Grace or Allie Jane or Allie Mae are all so cute!
I like your other options too. Super cute! The only one I really dislike is Kendall. I knew an icky guy named Kendall, so now I always think of him when I hear the name;-)
Hate is a strong word.
I don't love any of them (simply not my style).
I do love your middle names....
So from the list I would pick Allie.
I have a cousin named Kendall, and I always think Ken doll when I hear it, you know Barbie's BF.
My DD loves the name Allie-she is Curious George's friend on the PBS show.
