This is for anybody who has had this, for whatever reason. I just want to get an idea or kind of a survey, depending on who responds.
Has anyone had an injection of Gadolinium? If you have, did you experience any side effects? The paper they have you sign mentions the most common side effects, none of which sound pleasant, so it sounds scary, but I want to get a feel for how many don't experience anything at all. There is a world of people to ask out there, but I wouldn't know what all the options are.
So, can I hear from anybody with experience?
This is a parenting site.
Your question is not a parenting question.
If you are looking for medical opinions/experiences, you’re in the wrong place.
Try finding support groups for whatever disease/condition Gadolinium is used for to treat, and you’ll find patients who might share their experiences with you.
Keep in mind that everyone is different and what they experience might not be what you experience.
Your doctor(s) and pharmacist are your best sources of the latest medical information.
Good luck.
I’m afraid I don’t know anything about this. I would suggest looking for a local facebook group, either in your community, like “Newark moms”, or a group for a specific condition or interest you have. I often see people posting anonymously in those sorts of groups for personal experiences with meds or life.
You do realize that everyone’s body is different and reacts to medications and injections differently, right? That is why they are called possible side effects. You may get some, you may get all, or you may get none. You might even get some that are not listed, as they are not common. Most people can tolerate painkillers like Percocet without issue, I vomit every time I take them, so I end up having to take several ibuprofens after surgery. My coworker had awful nausea and some vomiting on Ozempic, but my mechanic is perfectly fine despite taking the same dose of the injection. Not even a doctor can predict how your body can react, which is why they tell you to visit an ER if you are having severe side effects or to call your doctor. Is this for an MRI?
